Description
As part of my art trade with the great ~Hapo57 ( hapo57.deviantart.com/ ) I was asked to draw a picture of Apollo and Artemis, the Twin Olympians of Greek mythology (in return Hapo drew me a lovely pic of Thor wrastling a cat and Loki losing an eating contest, lol).
In Greek myth, Apollo and Artemis were the son and daughter of the king-god Zeus and a Titan goddess named Leto (Latona in later scripts). Apollo (epithet "Phoibos", meaning "shining" or "bright was the god of light, the laurel tree, and, above all, music and poetry. Artemis (epithet "the Huntress") was the goddess of the wild, deer, and hunting. Together they were both the gods of youth and archery. In Hellinistic times they replaced the god Helios and the goddess Selene as god of the sun and goddess of the moon.
Artemis was originally supposed to be looking back at Apollo, peeved at him for practicing music while she tries to shoot, but the scan messed up her face a bit and I had to restore it as best I could.
